Bio

Tait completed his undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences in 2013. He continued with his education at the U of M in their graduate program receiving his Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology. He loves the opportunity he has as a speech-language therapist to help his clients build their foundational skills in speech and language in order to help them reach their greatest potential in all other areas of their life. Tait believes in the critical importance of family involvement and the immense impact that parents have as being both the expert on their own child and essentially the “primary therapist” in their child’s life. Parents have the opportunity and responsibility to become involved in their child’s therapy by becoming equipped here at the clinic. As a result, they can carryover therapy into the home environment in order to help achieve the greatest degree of success in conjunction with therapy conducted in the clinic­­.

He enjoys working with a variety of populations and after nearly a decade of experience has grown in his skills with working with kids struggling to acquire language and connect with others (especially those on the autism spectrum), children with social-skill challenges, as well as children struggling to and/or learning to read by using literacy-based interventions. Having a family of six himself, including his wife Hillary who is an OT, and their four boys, they have problem-solved many common challenges of living a busy life and working to integrate therapeutic interventions into everyday routines. He loves the kids and families he gets to work with here at Kid Talk and getting to see them achieve milestones while having fun here in therapy!
