Bio

Katie is an owner and Clinic Manager at Kid Talk and has worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in both outpatient private practice and school settings since graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2003. Over the years, she has worked with children of all ages with a variety of disabilities and impairments. Katie is especially passionate about working with children with apraxia of speech and is listed on the Apraxia Kids directory as a trained provider in the Twin Cities area. She is also PROMPT level 1 trained. In addition, Katie also has extensive experience working with receptive/expressive language and articulation disorders, including children on the Autism Spectrum. Katie believes in having fun and working hard during her speech therapy sessions to help children meet their fullest potential! She enjoys building relationships with the families and watching children’s confidence and personalities emerge as they become more effective communicators. When she’s not at work, Katie enjoys traveling and spending time at the lake with her husband, two daughters, and their dog!
