Hailey Uphoff

In 2016, Hailey graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science and a minor in Dance. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where she received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2018.

While studying for her Master’s degree, Hailey was an intern at both the Mayo Clinic and North Memorial Health Hospital, where she had the opportunity to provide occupational therapy services to adolescents and adults. During her internships, Hailey treated factors including range of motion, muscle strength, endurance, motor control, visual-perception, and cognition, which can often prevent both pediatric and adult patients from participating in their desired occupations. After graduating, Hailey worked as an occupational therapist for Partners in Excellence, where she provided self-care, fine motor, visual motor, gross motor, and sensory interventions to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Hailey has been serving children from birth to adolescence for a number of years in various roles including classroom assistant, mentor, caretaker, and occupational therapist. She has worked with children who have been impacted by a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Down syndrome. Hailey has also taken numerous opportunities to learn more about children and pediatric occupational therapy practice through educational courses and observation experiences. She has been able to integrate what she has learned to facilitate developmentally appropriate play, fine motor, gross motor, and sensory activities, and assist with age-appropriate daily living skills for children of all ages.

Hailey is passionate about creating meaningful occupational opportunities for her patients and is excited to meet the children and families at Kid Talk!
