Katie LeDuc

 

Katie attended Minnesota State University – Mankato, where she received both her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master’s of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. While completing school practicums, Katie gained knowledge in providing therapy in MNCAN Aphasia conversational groups, a local school district, and adolescent social groups. Katie also completed practicums in outpatient settings treating adults and children. Throughout these experiences, Katie worked with individuals with a large range in age and disorders. Some of these disorders include expressive and receptive language disorders, phonological and articulation disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, late language development, aphasia, and traumatic brain injuries. Katie has developed a passion for working with children with Autism, delayed language development, and Gestalt Language Learners. She believes in the use of play-based and child-led therapy as well as collaborating with the child’s family and other medical providers to create an individualized and functional treatment plan that best fits her clients. In her free time, you will find Katie outside reading a good book or spending time with her dog, Noodle!
