Patti Peichel


Patti received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the College of St. Benedict in 2006. She later earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from St. Cloud State University. She brings three and a half years of licensed teaching experience prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist. During her time teaching, Patti discovered her passion for working with children who have speech and language impairments. Patti has been committed to volunteering with children who have special needs volunteering with the Down Syndrome Foundation through their summer camp for 10+ years. She believes in the positive and profound effect therapy can have on a child’s ability to communicate and connect with others in their life. During her time at Kid Talk, she has worked in both the outpatient private practice setting and school settings. She has experience working with children with a variety of disabilities including those with Pierre Robin Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, resonance disorders, Apraxia of Speech, Autism spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, aphasia, cognition impairments, and dysarthria. Patti takes great joy in working with children and believes in the importance of collaborating with their family in order to develop functional goals and promote carryover to their home environment.
